Dinner

We believe there is great value in breaking bread together as a community of faith. In the scriptures we find that a great many miracles, revelations, and divine moments take place around the sharing of a meal. Therefore we begin each week by connecting with one another at the dinner table. There is no charge for the meal and there is no obligation to bring anything. Our meals are neither elaborate nor gourmet, but good, simple everyday fare. We try to ensure that there is something that will please most everyone - including those with dietary concerns, such as diabetics and vegans. If you ever have a concern or a question, just give us a call!

Childcare

Etiam Peccatis desires to be a place for families and we believe that the House Church is a natural environment for building community of all ages. However, we also believe that adults and children have different stages of development with different needs. After dinner, the children will be dismissed to go to the Kid’s Clubhouse for their own evening program and activities. The children’s program is superb, fun, and our kids love it. We also offer childcare for toddlers and infants. This ministry will be led and supervised by our Children’s Minister and interns.

Parking

Since we meet in a home on a cul-de-sac, parking is sometimes an issue. If the driveway is full (often) there is still plenty of parking in the cul-de-sac and on nearby streets of our neighborhood. We desire to be good neighbors and friends to those around us, so we ask that you make every effort to drive slowly (lots of kids about) and be respectful of where you park.

Participation

Etiam Peccatis is an interactive experience. Everyone is invited to sing, pray, ask questions, share thoughts, and contribute as they feel led. However, people are also free not to do any of these things as they wish. No one will be pressured or called on to participate.

Cost/Offering

Everything at Etiam Peccatis is provided at no cost. There is no charge for the meals, childcare, or any of the activities and materials at our Sunday gatherings. We do not take offerings at our House Church – instead we have a few offering boxes out where people can give as the Spirit and Word direct them to give. No one but our treasurer will know (for tax records/receipts only as we are recognized by the IRS and fully incorporated as a non-profit institution) what you choose to give or not give. That choice is between you and God.

We do this because we believe in the power of generosity and hospitality. God continues to flood our lives with His love and kindness and we want to incorporate that into our community. We choose to give because God is the greatest giver of all – when we join with Him in gracious giving we find ourselves more connected to Him, His will, and His work. The how, when, and where we leave up to you.

Leadership/Organization

Etiam Peccatis is a fully recognized, incorporated, and licensed non-profit organization by the State of Washington, The Federal Government, and the I.R.S. The church is governed by a five member council and is led by Eric and Kathie Stratmeyer. All council meetings are open to anyone who wishes to attend.

Eric has been serving the church for over 25 years. He has led everything from Jr. & Sr. High Youth Ministry to College & Young Adults; from Interim Pastor to Associate Pastor and as Sr. Pastor. These churches have been of all sizes and backgrounds: small, medium and large; from few resources to many resources; from rural to suburban and even inner city.  Eric is our primary spiritual facilitator and teacher of our house church.

Kathie has a Master’s degree in Theology and a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fuller Seminary. She has an extensive background serving the church in Youth Ministry, Counseling, and leading worship. Kathie currently works as a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Fountaingate Psychological and Family Services in Marysville. In addition to serving on the council, Kathie leads our Praise Team and time of worship.

Lisa Bradley is our Children’s Minister. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with an emphasis in human development. She has been involved with children's ministry and other types of church ministry for 15 years. Lisa also currently serves as our webmaster.
